Why in good faith would you defend a criminal that is known to be violent, and obviously doesn't need to be free in society
Are you referring to Mr. Priebe in particular or just criminal defendants in general? Basically, you have to understand that everyone is entitled to a defense. Without defense attorneys willing to stand up and represent defendants, there is nothing to prevent the state from abusing its power.
